Very nice little spot in the middle of no where . Warm and snuggly on a chilly day
Visited for a late breakfast and only found two tables unoccupied. Nice menu with a good filling breakfast at 6.Lots of other choices available. There is a outside area but not suitable in January. The range fire made in warm inside.Booking is essential if you want to guarantee a table especially at lunch time as there were several tables already reserved for later.Great range of homemade cakes. An excellent small tearoom/restaurant.
Great little place on a cold day, home made cake and loose leaf tea.
Unfortunate that I can't post a rating with zero stars. Ordered hot drink when we sat down. 20 minutes later still no sign and went up to order food as no-one was taking our order. First item I ordered wasn't available so took a second option. Sat back at table, still no sign of drinks. Waitress arrived to tell me my 2nd order was unavailable and some items in my wife's order were unavailable also. At this point we got told it was because they were busy. And by this time still no sign of hot drinks. We gave up and the manageress told me that 20+minutes was an acceptable wait time for a tea and coffee as they were busy. My point for this place and all restaurants is...if you're too busy to be able to provide good service, and too busy to keep a decent supply of food to provide what's on your menu, DON'T TAKE OUR BOOKING...
Had a great lunch and some lovely cake and drinks. Best to phone for a table as can get busy at weekends. Great location and especially nice on sunny days.
