Beautifully preserved historic building. Lively friendly pub, great staff, fast service, and the usual cheap Wetherspoons prices but sadly lacking in the vegetarian meals selection; very poor choice. 1st December . . . popped in for quick, cheap lunch. Fish Friday so my husband had fish & chips - he loved it, and great value for money. I had choice of only 2 vegetarian mains, neither of which enthused me; what a very poor show for us non meat-eaters. Pity. We shall stick to the Red Lion in future.
