VERY disappointed with the service today
My mum and I took my grandma out for her birthday afternoon tea treat and it was amazing!! Delicious sandwiches and rolls, the cakes are to die for and the tea was even delicious which is impressive to me as a huge coffee fan lol. I left extremely bloated and with a bag of leftovers for my children. I also took my 2 year old with me and the staff are so friendly and lovely with children and extremely attentive. Cannot wait to go back again for a full lunch!! Be warned though, if you come here you will leave a bigger lover of cake than you could ever have realised you had in you!!
The most delicious homemade cakes!! Wonderful food, well presented and promptly served.Very friendly staff and great value for money.I highly recommend the baked goods. They have a wide range of cakes, gluten free and dairy free options which look incredible.
Overall The Strawberry Tearooms was a disappointment. Upon arrival crisps were found which were out of date by several days. Crisps which accompanied meal were stale as well. But food was okay, edible but okay. In addition to this, cakes were dry with 3 of our party of 5 leaving some of their cake.Drinks. Tea was weak, coffee fine. Decor had a nice aesthetic, although plastic flowers took away from the overall charm of the place.
Disappointing service, friendly but not organised, food came out randomly so we ate at different times, one drink ordered was forgotten about and considering it was close to Christmas needed more staff on. Clean and tidy, food was good quality. Think views would be nice in summer. One toilet outside and bit chilly.
