In terms of background information, I am building a home cinema room in our garden and wanted to have the sign flat roofed in a way that would incorporate hidden drainage and not be visible from ground level. Now in theory this seemed like two fairly straightforward requests, however, 9 roofing companies later, I was still in the market for a roof that would meet my requirements. All of the companies minimised the need for drainage, often because they could not be bothered to think outside the box for a solution. Wesley from Essex Flat Roofing came to have a look and I rambled my requirements to him in parrot fashion; the same as I had done each time before. But then something unexpected happened! He started thinking outside the box and over the next 20 minutes came up with a viable solution that is unconventional in some ways, but very clever. He knew a lot about drainage! I mean A LOT! We agreed on a solution and price and within a week of his first visit I was looking at one sexy roof with hidden drainage and a minimalist appearance from ground level (see attached photos). I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking to have a flat roof installed. I only wish I had found them sooner!
